BEER CAN CHICKEN

This was my first time smoking a chicken with a beer can and I highly recommend it! I usually don't enjoy making chicken because it can come out dry, but the steam from the beer completely prevented that from happening. I used a local orange wheat beer by Huss Brewing Company. It tastes like a orange creamsicle in a beer form. Check them out if you see it around. The process is simple and you only need about 90 minutes of smoke time - depending on the size of your chicken.
You will love how flavorful, juicy and moist this chicken comes out!
What you need:
One whole chicken - around 4-5lbs
Rub/Seasoning
Beer 1/2 full
Meat Thermometer
Instructions:
Remove all giblets from inside the chicken and pat dry with a paper towel.
Use a rub of your choice - I used 2 Gringo's Chupacabra Rub, but any meat rub will do! Make sure to cover the chicken in the rub, inside and out. Don't be stingy with it either.
3. Set your smoker to 350 and place the beer can directly on the smoker. Some people use beer can racks to hold the beer and chicken, but I opted out of using the rack. With your beer can on the smoker, go ahead and just place your chicken on top of the can.
4. Place your thermometer in the chicken breast. In about 1 hr and 30 minutes your chicken should hit 165 degrees. That's when you know it's done! Take off the smoker and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
5. Cut and Enjoy! :)

Okay, I’m doing this one 😁 your tiktok friend Truckinglife.. 🤟
